This Generation: "The Ticktockers & Disneylanders" We are the happiest generation on social media with thousands of photos. Hundreads & hundreads of friends, millions & millions of strangers viewing our life through the windows of their smartphone and judging us, then themselves. We have created a generation of the most consumed content in the history. Constant comparison, worshiping idols, never ending desires and extremely short span of concentration are the byproducts. I call it the generation of "The Ticktockers & Disneylanders". In Charles Bukowski's words, we are the masses elevating fools into rich heroes. The paradox of life is we live for nothing and die from everything. Anyone who doesn't support our ideas should be considered as our enemies. Those who do support are natual alliances without conditions. One of the fundamental reasons, I like these misfits, outcasts, back-benchers. Those who have been told you don't belong to the masses is because they really don't belong there. The misfits have the real soul. They don't live to please, they live for the experience. They take the mankind to the next stage. Misfits are dangerous too cause they know they don't need anyone's help or company to go through this life. They are enough!! Today, when I'm asked to give my opinion on a serious topic. I always give a choice, wheather you'd like a general opinion or an honest one. So, amongst a few of my honest opinions. One of them is, I never wasted such an insane amount of time along with the money as visiting the famous Disneyland. Perhaps, good for kids amuzement, Disney movie lovers but for me highly overrated and pricey. I'd choose to watch Disney movies at home over visiting a matchbox size Disneyland in HK.

Bruce Lee once said “Knowing is not Enough, We must Apply. Willing is not Enough, We must Do..” I see everywhere, people with such extensive desires and high expectations, ambitions and all from life. But in reality they’re just simply opposite. Awaiting for magic to happen, perfect timing, nourished talent, or living in the delusional future. Mostly artists I know, who are thinking & thinking and end up overthinking then consumed by their thoughts. Actions are missing in the process to produce any outcome. Life’s already complicated and art is a next level complex process, if you let it be. I tell everyone who cares to listen. If you really like something then embrace it first yourself. Forget about good art-bad artist, brands, money, fame, all that bullshit. Don’t ask yourself all the time if you’re good at it or not. Good artists are super boring, be genuinely profound. I don’t see art as professional or amateur, beautiful or awful, successful or failed attempt. The only way I see it when I feel it and if it’s profound then it must make you feel something. Art is not just an expression, it’s our way to find our existence somehow. Jim Morrison mentioned in notes on vision. It’s wrong to assume that art needs the spectator in order to be. The film runs on without any eyes. The spectator cannot exist without it. It insures his own existence. Personally, those who talk too much about art and spirituality. How colorful the life is & how perfectly blissful I’m experiencing myself bla bla bla.. I call them Pseudo Artists. Artists without an air of loneliness & existential crisis are just boring. Painting, drawing, poetry, writing aren’t just a mere hobby or a way to earn living for them. This is how they survive through this life, this is all they got to hold on too.

“To make living itself an art, that is the goal” - Henry Miller When I was a teenager I always admired soccer and wanted to be part of the National soccer team. However, as a skinny teenager, it was easier to be bullied or replaced by bigger looking players. Majority of my initial soccer games I spent on the bench hearing you look like a player with polio. You should grow long hair then you’d look like a girl. You’re nothing but a clown on this team. That part of my life was an absolute humiliation. In 2020, it was my brother who told me for the first time that I don’t have a knack for storytelling. Later, in 2022, I met many peeps around Asia & Europe. Trying to convince them I could deliver outstanding results as a filmmaker. There was also a time when I used to carry my laptop everywhere. Then, enter any random hotel or resort and ask managers if they could give me some work, I will do it for free. I never wanted money but some work to show as a creator. Although, most of those managers laughed at me thinking I was nothing but a beggar. Today, everyone asks me one question. I’m no exceptional person by any quality or skill by any means. Then, how on Earth I was able to pull this kind of lifestyle on my own. I say, there’s a catch! None of those who used to bully me but me who was part of the under-19 National soccer team in 2010 after getting humiliated for years. In 2023, after 3-yr of constant rejection when I actually caught a break. It took me to the film festivals, fashion shows, brand endorsements, professional work etc. Simple catch which really works is, you don’t need to be ultra talented, super perfect, or even highly fortunate. A man who has the strength of a mountain will definitely move the mountain, no doubt about it. One needs absolute dedication, sheer discipline, & unbreakable persistence which most people don’t own, some never will. A man of character never compromises with the principles. Period!
