However, as a skinny teenager, it was easier to be bullied or replaced by bigger looking players. Majority of my initial soccer games I spent on the bench hearing you look like a player with polio. You should grow long hair then you’d look like a girl. You’re nothing but a clown on this team. That part of my life was an absolute humiliation. In 2020, it was my brother who told me for the first time that I don’t have a knack for storytelling. Later, in 2022, I met many peeps around Asia & Europe. Trying to convince them I could deliver outstanding results as a filmmaker. There was also a time when I used to carry my laptop everywhere. Then, enter any random hotel or resort and ask managers if they could give me some work, I will do it for free. I never wanted money but some work to show as a creator. Although, most of those managers laughed at me thinking I was nothing but a beggar. Today, everyone asks me one question. I’m no exceptional person by any quality or skill by any means. Then, how on Earth I was able to pull this kind of lifestyle on my own. I say, there’s a catch! None of those who used to bully me but me who was part of the under-19 National soccer team in 2010 after getting humiliated for years. In 2023, after 3-yr of constant rejection when I actually caught a break. It took me to the film festivals, fashion shows, brand endorsements, professional work etc. Simple catch which really works is, you don’t need to be ultra talented, super perfect, or even highly fortunate.
