I create travel guides that include the best highlights & hidden gems and making the most of your precious travel time. Travel planning & itinerary creation is my game, especially when it comes to finding unique & boutique hotels. You'll mostly ...
The #1 must-do activity if you're visiting Puerto Vallarta. This was the most fantastic day because you get to see where all the clear, turquoise-blue water is! We met our guides at 9:30am who helped us on the bus to Boca. We then started our hike along the coast, stopping at a total of 6 beaches along the way - we stopped to swim, snorkel, snack and buy fresh fruit, coconuts (or beer if you want)! We had a lovely small group so it felt like a true nature hike, & our guides were fantastic at leading the way, telling us interesting stories along the way and took great photos for everyone in the group. The hike can be challenging in some places, but there were children and some elderly folk in our group, so really anyone can do it, just take your time and enjoy!
This hotel is the best choice for proximity to the Fremont Street Experience! Golden Nugget offers that nostalgic luxury feel where the glitz and glamor of old Vegas still lingers. I think it's the perfect choice for those wanting a touch of Old Vegas glamour, a variety of dining and entertainment options, and something lively being right in the heart of Fremont. It’s the perfect mix of value & quality. During the spring, summer and fall months, you can enjoy the most unique pool area which includes a waterslide that goes through a shark tank! The main pool is lagoon-style and is open to all ages + there's an adults-only pool on the second level with it's own daybeds, loungers and bar. I like staying in the Rush Tower - it's the most modern with spacious rooms (and the only hotel in Vegas with California King beds)! Otherwise Gold Tower is the oldest, but has a mid-level feel and quickest access to casino. Carson is the cheapest, but furthest from casino (that means quiet)!
There are so many reasons I loved this hotel! The rooftop pool provides phenomenal views - watch whales and sunsets from here! The pool bar features a daily happy hour from 4-8 pm, so you can get margaritas for about $5. The pool is also heated, meaning you can swim comfortably even in the cooler months. Each room is a fully-equipped suite - you get a full kitchenette, living/dining area, and an ocean-view balcony with comfy chairs - perfect for your morning coffee. The building is only 3 years old, so everything is new. The location is the other best part about this hotel. Within a 3-block radius, you have access to dozens upon dozens of restaurants, cafes, bars, taco stands, and shops. For breakfast, try The Porch and Cafe San Angel. For seafood, Tuna Azul is a must-visit, while Tacos Sonorita offers a fun sit-down taco experience. End the night at Andale's for drinks and dancing. There’s a 24-hour gym onsite. And the entire building is equipped with 24/7 security.
The most charming family-owned boutique hotel I've ever stayed at! El Pueblo Inn was the perfect hub for our wine country getaway from San Francisco. The rooms were spacious, equipped with ice cold A/C, mini fridges, and wine carafes, making it easy to enjoy a bottle in the lush courtyard surrounded by fountains or by the pool – which was open 24/7, along with the hot tub! We also loved the complimentary breakfast and 24/7 access to ice water and coffee in the lobby. Plus, it was just a 15-minute walk to Sonoma Plaza. All of this at such a reasonable nightly rate – highly recommend! In Sonoma, I highly recommend the Sunflower Café for brunch on the adorable garden patio - at the very least, stop in for an iced coffee and water buffalo ice cream! You MUST have dinner at the Girl and the Fig - anything on the menu is delicious, but I really loved my lavender espresso martini! We also loved the low-key and chill wineries in Sonoma County that were all within 15 minutes or less!
