This is the best hostel in Rome for my budget travelers. When many people think of hostels, you may immediately think of sharing a room with 12 other travelers in bunk beds. While that is sometimes the case, you can also book private rooms at many hostels. I booked this incredible private room in Rome with one of my best friends. It included a full sized bed, a private bathroom and an incredible private balcony with stunning views. This hostel in particular was full of life and included unique touches such as an on-site barber shop, a small, historic elevator, a delicious and affordable daily breakfast, along with a whole schedule of activities to meet people. I highly recommend this hostel for anyone looking to travel to Rome on a budget!

Visiting Portland, Oregon is an experience in and of itself. I visited during the fall when Oregon's landscapes come alive with vibrant fall colors. I had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Hi-Lo Hotel, which is situated in the heart of downtown Portland and close to the popular food truck scene. The rooms had a calming aura that made you feel extra cozy. Along with the exquisite rooms, you can expect a nice hotel restaurant and bar where you can meet tons of people from differing backgrounds.
