Having gotten laid off during the pandemic I decided to shift my focus to my passions of architectural photography, social media content creation, hosting walking tours, and traveling. I invite you to go along with me on this journey and will al...
This was an excellent experience all around. It has a gorgeous design and a ton of common space, which you will need because the rooms are very compact - what you would expect from NYC. The rooms are very well appointed which makes up for the lack of real estate. The bathroom was luxurious and had sexy, moody lighting, luxury skin and hair products, and high-end plumbing fixtures. One thing I love is a hotel with lots of water pressure in the shower! The bed was very comfortable and the clever room design captured every single inch of unique storage space. I loved the room-wide upholstered window seat and windows that opened for fresh air. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. There's a rooftop restaurant (very casual) along with an elegant skylit restaurant off the lobby as well as a full bar that faces the street with window walls that open up and bring the outdoors in. Be mindful that there are extra hotel charges for the Wi-FI, city bikes, nearby gym access, etc.
This Kimpton hotel was wonderful and in a great location in downtown Asheville. The room size was very spacious with floor-to-ceiling windows and a very luxurious bathroom/shower area. There are tons of built-in drawers and closets. The room had very soothing hues and seemed pretty lush with complimentary WI-FI. The beds are amazing and I slept like a baby! There is a spa onsite and a large, wonderful restaurant. The area is very walkable with lots of restaurants, shops, and galleries nearby. The Biltmore Estate is close by as is the historic Grove Park Inn
This is a very nice property for those who are looking for lots of space and more of an apartment feel or Airbnb-type vibe. My room had a full kitchen, dining area, living space, large bedroom, and bathroom, as well as TONS of closet space and even a washer/dryer. It is about a 25-minute walk to downtown Philly and the subway and bus lines are right outside the door. By subway, it is about 5-7 minutes to downtown. The price is decent and it is on a main thoroughfare to downtown but it borders on what looks like some less desirable areas. While my unit was VERY nice and had lots of furnishings, I had what looked like to be half of a sectional so the sofa/seating area was a bit limited. Not a big deal, though. There is an Aldi next door so it was easy to stock the kitchen. The restaurant in the hotel is not open on Mondays and Tuesdays so that was disappointing. All in all a great place. though.
