a cute little tropical paradise within the LoÃza neighborhood of San Juan. the room had a hammock which was very fun + unique. every room has a nice candle that you can take as a gift. more candles, shirts and other objects are also sold in a little shop in the courtyard of the hotel. some funky details like an open air shower +bathroom but very nice in the heat. walking distance from the beach and the main drag of the LoÃza neighborhood {and the absolute best coffee in Puerto Rico - Café Con Cé}.
a great boutique hotel with wonderful Art deco details in the heart of the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington DC. a nice very walkable neighborhood. walking distance to restaurants, coffee + shops. short taxi or public transit rides to the national mall, union station, kennedy center, georgetown waterfront, etc. rooms are well designed with clean lines and neutral colors. stayed in a standard king which was very comfortable. all beds have a gorgeous art deco headboard which is very unique and adds character to the room. loved having a robe in the room for lounging after a long day out and about. loved the Art Deco details throughout the lobby, hallways and rooms. very affordable for DC and a great experience every time.
a great modern hotel in the heart of Bogotá right around the corner from the Parque de la 93 with its coffee shops + restaurants. quick taxi/uber ride to pretty much anywhere in the city as well as the airport. rooms are very comfortable and well laid out. this hotel has the very best mini bar snacks which are all vegan and free - definitely discovered some new favorite snacks! the free breakfast is quite lavish with lots of fresh fruit, cereals and bread {and for the non vegans - eggs + pancakes} and of course coffee. dinner which we had quite late on the day we arrived was very good, especially the falafel salad. staff is super attentive and arranged for us to be picked up + dropped off at the airport. stayed twice at the beginning + end of my time in Colombia and loved it.
