Patranila Jefferson

Peaceful resort located near the airport in Lihue which makes it ultra convenient. Staying at this spot on the island makes it easy to go in either direction for amazing sunsets, attractions and tours. Even as a solo traveler, I prefer a calmer resort experience so this was good for me. If you like more of a scene, there may be better options. The customer service was excellent, especially the valets. Like most places in Hawaii, the fresh produce and fish is delectable so you'll always have a good dining experience.

If you're a golf lover, this one's for you. The ocean-front course is beautiful so get your foursome together and go. Also good for families with lots of play space for children. Several restaurants with indoor and outdoor dining options and the food is good. The rooftop dining spaces and the rooftop pool are highlights of the resort. There's not much by way of beachfront but if you just want to lounge at the water's edge, you can find a spot.
