Luxury hotel and room.
Breakfast was expensive. City tax was extra on top, I thought it had been included.
Good
Stayed here three times now but certain areas are getting pretty dingy. Just gotta clean up some areas and especially the carpeting. Tone down over stocking of accessory furniture. Place more of a focus on pond area—-very charming. That gosh awful entrance to elevator is scary
Their breakfast buffet was delicious and their dining room has an amazing view of a small harbor on the canals. This hotel is walkable from the museum district, and convenient to the airport.
It is about a 15 minute walk from the tram system, so it is not as convenient to public transportation as other hotels closer to the center city.
The decor is beautiful. The room was comfortable and mostly clean. The room which had a canal view was quiet. Loved the bar downstairs. We thought the barman from Greece was excellent (Leonidas?) and made us his own cocktail which was outstanding. The reception staff were all very helpful and professional. The location was good. We mostly walked to different parts of the city which took an average of 15/20 minutes.
Two of the chairs in the room had stains on the seats which was off putting. Who knows what these were from which did make us feel a bit unsure of the rest of the cleanliness in the room.
