Apollo Hotel Amsterdam a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

I had a large room with a very comfy large bed, so the essentials were well in order. Nice-size bathroom too. Very quiet. Had a nice light snack in the "Living Room" in the evening and a great breakfast too. Friendly service. A very helpful member of staff helped me in the morning, as there was a small issue with the room rate as I checked in the night before. Perfect location for my meetings.

Slightly on the expensive side for the location. The hotel initially charged me more than the Booking.com rate was, but this was sorted out in the morning. Everything was clean and well, but for the price I expected a bit more.

Beds were comfy. Love the living Room cafe and special rooms. Liked that it was on canals and we could walk to the tram. Liked the boutique feeling. The Concierge was wonderful. Our friend who left the day before us, left a bag in the taxi and he tracked it down!!!! He arranged our taxi too. Everyone was helpful. We will come back!

The only thing that was m issue was the shower. The water leaked out into the floor.

The location is great and the room is spacious compared to other similar properties in Amsterdam. The beds are also comfortable.

The ventilation system produced a persistent white noise throughout the night, even when turned off. This made it feel like a fan was constantly running, which, combined with the very dry air, irritated our sinuses. Unfortunately, despite reporting the issue to staff who said they would come and check right away, no one showed up or followed up. This seemed unavoidable and could be problematic for light sleepers or those with sensitivities like misophonia.
