I stayed at the Dauphine for my fortieth birthday at the beginning of June 2024 for five days. It was a decent hotel, and the best part was the saltwater pool and May Baily's - for the history if nothing more, but the one drink I had was also really good. It's close to Bourbon and many popular dining locations as well as near-to Jackson Square and the St. Louis Cathedral.

I took my daughter to the Hotel Rose for her birthday this last December and we had a blast while staying there. We also went to Powell's Books and enjoyed hotpot that day but the best part about having such a central location was being able to go see Portlandia and also watching the ice rink next door when we visited Bottle and Kitchen, the hotel restaurant.
