Staying at The Inn at Meander, truly is a relaxing and calming experience. Making memories and having experiences is what this beautiful Inn is about. During my stay I stayed in the Shearer Suite a tribute to former owners, the Shearer sisters. This room has a beautiful spacious balcony overlooking the patio and the Blue Ridge Mountains. One of the many perks of staying is being able to have your food brought to your room or having a picnic on the grounds. On my spacious balcony overlooking the garden patio and the beautiful Virginia mountains set the perfect picturesque setting for a memorable dinner. The food was delicious and the views and ambiance unmatched. Nearby The Inn at Meander is a variety of award winning wineries. Besides it’s close proximity to Virginia wineries and breweries it is near the famous Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park and Montpelier; home of our 4th President James Madison. This is a great spot to make base camp for exploring the area.

The location was central to grocery, dining, night life and activities in the Myrtle Beach area. The room had a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean and the Spring Maid Pier. Walking on the pier was free to hotel guests showing a room key card and $12 to go fishing on the pier. The beach is less populated in front of the hotel and I found a lot of shells and even a shark’s tooth! The Double Tree by Hilton Myrtle Beach had great amenities like an on-site restaurant that I ate at twice for lunch and dinner. The menu had seafood options, sandwiches, soups, salads, flatbreads, desserts and a full bar. The view of the Atlantic Ocean was great from the tables. The Double Tree by Hilton Myrtle Beach has several pools including children’s pools, a lazy river and an indoor heated pool. One reason I enjoy staying with the Double Tree Hilton brand is because I can easily manage my stay and room key directly on their app. This makes for easy checkin and not loosing the key :)
