We spent 4 lovely nights at the Atenea Port Barcelona Mataro by the sea! Our hotel balcony had a gorgeous view of the harbor, and the sunsets were absolutely unreal! The rooms were modern, clean, and fairly spacious. The hotel was beautiful inside and out, with lots of modern touches, artwork, a pool, and a great outdoor setting. We loved how close it was to the train station, as well as a great selection of local restaurants, shops, and the beach! We spent our first day just enjoying this beautiful area, and for the rest of our time, we commuted into Barcelona to explore, which took about 40 minutes on the train but was so pretty. The staff was kind and spoke English well, which I appreciated since my Spanish was a bit rusty, and I don't speak Catalan. The breakfast was also delicious but did cost a few euros extra.
We spent 3 incredible nights at Montaña de Fuego! The villas look right out at the volcano, and the onsite hot springs are absolutely dreamy! We also really enjoyed the food (they make quite a show with some of the fired dishes) location, and walking trails. The staff was very friendly, and we were just minutes away from the area's best activities. We also loved how easy it was to book extra activities through the hotel with local companies.
We spent several incredible nights at the Papagayo Golden Palms during our trip to Costa Rica! We loved the spacious rooms and quiet beach, as well as the delicious food served in the on-site restaurant! Additionally, the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful, making our stay absolutely perfect. Other things I loved include the gorgeous pool, beachside hammocks, and vibrant gardens.
