At Cape Hillsborough Nature Tourist Park, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with a group. There are cosy one-bedroom huts and studio cabins, as well as spacious two-bedroom cabins, or campsites, all just a short walk from the beach. Waking up to kangaroos on the beach at sunrise is such a special experience and a must do if you’re travelling the East Coast of Australia!
Dec 2024Just seven kilometres from the heart of Cairns, I found this amazing little oasis that's perfect for a relaxing getaway. The highlight for me has got to be the stunning pool and the lush, natural surrounds. You can swim, chill out in the spa, or just relax by the freshwater creek. Keep an eye out for turtles and platypus – it’s such a magical spot! If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat with plenty of activities just a heartbeat away, this is the place!
Dec 2024Roamer Magnetic Island is a tropical paradise just 8km off Townsville, Queensland. Only a 5-minute walk from Horseshoe Bay, you can snorkel, kayak, or hike to explore the island’s 23 bays. Enjoy beautifully-designed accommodation, a swimming pool, wellness deck, CoWork, outdoor bar, pool table, and an on-site wildlife park with local Aussie animals. Start your day with a wellness class and locally-sourced breakfast, then dive into the island’s natural beauty or hit the trails for epic views. Afterward, unwind by the pool and enjoy the sunset. Here are my Must Do recommendations for things to do on Magnetic Island: - Forts Walk, look out for koalas in the trees, enjoy breathtaking views and go for a swim or snorkel. (bring lots of water and swimmers) - Rock Wallabies - Go check out the cute rock wallabies for sunset, (they love carrots) - Snorkel and explore the bays - Have lunch at Scallywags Cafe
