When I first booked my Mexico City trip, I want to stay in the historical area of town. But it was not available our first two days. So, I booked the Hyatt Regency Polanco to fill in those two days. I did so because it was located walking distance from the Anthropology Museum, Bosque de Chapultepec (their version of Central Park), and many other museums and attractions. It turned out to be a great decision. The Polanco area turned out to have fine dinings, beauty, and great walks. The hotel was amazing. You could tell it was the choice of many Mexican companies or people who do business in Mexico. We booked a room that had an amazing view of the city and access to the club level. Which turned out to be a great move. The club level had a great area to do business, food for breakfast and dinner. Cocktails and a fantastic view. We spent hours in the club level relaxing. The pool and exercise area were also amazing. I highly recommend this hotel.
Discover Old World elegance of the Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico, an exquisite turn-of-the-century property perfectly located in downtown Mexico City. I was taken back how nice and centrally located the hotel was. It is located right on the Zocalo Plaza. Which is the main plaza in the historical district of Mexico City. Make sure to make reservations at the front desk for the Terraza Restaurant. The restaurant has an amazing view of the Zocalo and the food was wonderful. The hotel also offers an in-house taxi service. We were able to book a very early morning taxi to the airport through the frontdesk. If you get to the hotel too early to check-in, the frontdesk will store your luggage and give you a key to their private lounge. In that lounge is a 24-hour snack bar; along with the ability to order food and cocktails.
