Such great attention to unique detailed decor. Love it!!
The hotel staff is awesome and warm
Clean and comfortable hotel. Have great coffee in the morning.
NO VALET SERVICE. You have to park around the corner in a parking garage and walk down the street with you luggage. Also, I called several times to verify my room would be hypoallergenic before we checked-in. The room had feather and down in our room so housekeeping needs to pay more attention.
Thinking this hotel was centered near all the famous pizza places in New Haven I booked a nearly $300 night room via Booking.com. What was I thinking... not even close. But certainly right next to college, youngster-ville area of Yale. First, right out the gate parking is a problem. You'll easily fork out $25 for street or the nearby parking garage over the course of 24 hrs. This place has no valle or baggage service so you'll have hoof it in your own. Also 2 sets of stairs to get through the front door so hopefully you are in good physical shape to lift bags on your own. Front desk not very friendly. No one smiles and they don't make you feel particularly welcome, especially if you want ice. What's with not having at least one ice machine dedicated for guests? Why should I constantly have to hastle the barista for ice whom also never smiles and makes you feel bad for asking. Rooms are quaint, turn of the century NE college design and architecture albeit small particularly narrow by bathroom so be careful. Can do without that bench right there. My gf clobbered her leg on the edge of it and will be bruised for weeks.
I REALLY wanted to like this hotel but with all the inconveniences, small room stature and overpriced rate combined, just didn't make for an enjoyable experience. Not recommended to anyone over the age of 30.
Beautiful hotel with a good atmosphere, very central. Very nice staff. Comfy beds. Good pastries and coffee for breakfast (for a fee).
At this price it would be nice to have breakfast included. Parking is external and independent from the hotel. The closest garage costs 17$/day and closes between midnight and 7 am so you cannot take out (or return) your car late.
