The property was not only in a centric area to shopping areas, but clean and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.
There wasn’t anything that I did not like about the property.
It was clean
It desperately needs to be refurbished. The decor is old and worn. There were no curtains on the window, just blinds. The bathroom linoleum was peeling up, the sink was extremely tiny. There are no amenities.
There was no breakfast, just coffee in the lobby. We had a hard time finding a restaurant on a Sunday since everything Amish is closed. Keep that in mind if you stay on a Saturday night. Decor is cute country charming.
The towels and bath mat is worn and should be replaced. Room was quiet and comfortable otherwise.
The location was good!
Where do I start! In a word, "disappointed." Last year, I believe we gave this location all 5 stars. Not this year. I am handicapped, so the first thing I noticed is the damaged step leading to the side front entrance, with a missing handrail. Along with that, a parking lot lamp post had a busted lamp. Upon attempting to check in, I was informed by the young lady checking us in that she was not allowed to take my debit card as payment, REALLY? A guaranteed debit card was unacceptable? Upon opening our room door, we were greeted with a pungent odor. We could see that the room had not been thoroughly cleaned, for sure it was not vacuumed. I found part of an insole on the floor clearly visible, and the carpeting felt dirty on my feet. There were multiple small pebbles throughout, of which I stepped on several that hurt my feet. The dresser had a drawer that was full of old area brochures as was the nightstand. The bathroom door did not close. The bathroom toilet seat did not fit correctly. There was debris on the floor and spiderwebs at the corner of the base of the bathroom door. I killed several ants in the room. The A/C was very noisy and annoying as well. Just NOT a good experience. You may ask, "Why did we not say something?" It was late when we got back to our room that night, and we were tired from a very long drive and long evening. We had an early start the following day and again was out most of the day. Again, I am too exhausted to want to get into it with a check-in clerk. I thought I would be able to express our disappointment upon checking out today, but I was greeted at the front desk with a small sign that read "will be back shortly." Poor customer service, to say the least. So, I left our one key (not 2 as requested), and we left. Again, last year's stay was terrific! This year's will give us pause about a return stay at this location. A response from the ownership would be a pleasant surprise.
Everything! It’s peaceful and beautiful. Jessica at the front desk was very helpful!
Nothing to complain about.
This was a very lovely inn. We felt like we were taking back in time, but we loved it. It was located where we could easily get to everything we wanted to do. The staff was very helpful.
Nothing
I booked three nights at $507.00 and it was supposed to be a handicap room. When I arrived to check in they charged me $644.00 and stated I requested a change. The room was not handicap accessible as you could roll a wheelchair in about seven feet and no way to use a walker in the room also. The bathroom also did not have any hand assist bars around the toilet. In addition the drain on the Shower would Not allow the water moo Flow as it was full of hair. The throw on the back of the sofa looked old and dirty. Also, the ownership has changed and the new owners were not reasonable to work with!
