CorbinLocation close to falls and spacious. Nice kitchen with real coffee pot in cottage and good coffee. Staff friendly. Enjoyable stay.
Needs maintenance. Toaster and TV not working. Smoky smell in unit from logs left in fireplace - strong. Very dim lighting. One burner on stove not working.
Location next to the river and inside the park.
Basic Breakfast. Nice window view!
It is absolutely beautiful
There is nothing that I didn’t like
I liked the 2nd room that we stayed in because it was a little more updated but still needs more updates . Room 211
1st night room 217 was way too small and not updated . The food was terrible . We had dinner and breakfast and all of it was not good. I use to come for the buffet years ago and it was delicious, but I can’t say that now.
Cumberland Falls is a great place to get away. The cabins in group 2 (where we stayed) are arranged perfectly to make you feel like you're alone in the middle of the forest, and they have all the essentials you'll need. Anything that's missing you'll probably find in the small store near the campground. Everyone working at the falls was so friendly and knowledgeable about the region, giving us plenty of tips on how to make the most of our time. The lodge is also cute and the buffet-style restaurant has great views of the river valley, even though we cooked on a grill near our cabin each night.
Nothing! The only downside was we were there on a cloudy night, so we couldn't see the famous Moonbow, but that's just a reason to come back :)
Loved the woodsy, outdoor, lodge feeling and decor. The beautiful outdoor area to sit high up over the river was scenic and relaxing.. The bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. Liked that the windows open and could get fresh air in. Very courteous and friendly front desk staff and housekeeping staff. Go on a night where it is clear and a full moon so you can go down to the falls and see the "Moonbow". The coffee in room was excellent.
Although there is a table in the room, there is only one chair. They need to provide at least another folding chair. To book a room with two beds and there only be one chair is not acceptable. There is no microwave or refrigerator in room which was a major disappointment. Because of these 2 problems, I won't stay here again. The dining room has a great view but that is all. The evening buffet was cold, old, and not well stocked. Was NOT a good way to start off our stay.
