Very clean. Great Nespresso machine! Quaint decor. Helpful staff. Great communication.
Noisy guests across the hall on our final night- so I would have liked an on- site concierge to be able to talk to them
The beds
One of the two rooms we stayed in was very noisy all night long. Money back for Room 2 please!
Shops and walking around, close to theatre.
Location was good, but strange. See below.
The Stratford is a satellite hotel o the Windsor Hotel about 800 m to 1 km away. There is no staff at the Stratford. There is no one to help you with your suitcase up the four steps to the front door, up the 2 flights to your room. When you are elderly and walk with a cane, it's a problem. The "suite" was a largish room separated by 1/2 a wall. I guess it this 1/2 a wall that makes it a "suite".The tub and shower were in one half, the toilet in the other. There were two sinks, one in each 1/2. If you need anything, you have to call or go over to the Windsor. The whole set-up was a right royal pain. And hardly a bargain.
The hotel was very clean, comfortable and well located.
The checkin process is confusing, the staff are at the nearby Hotel Windosr, and the requirements for self checkin involve emailing your ID, which I would never do. We went to the Windsor to check in instead. The process was well communicated in advance, but I don't think anyone should be asked to email their ID.

Close to most theatres and shopping area. No fussing around with keys as you get a code to let you in and out.
My room was a bit loud given the traffic but they gave us earplugs which was great
Close to where we were seeing a show / Spamalot - and check in and out was so easy.
Water pressure for sink and shower was non existent.
