Best Western The Inn At The Fairgrounds

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY. We checked in after 9:00 P.M. Two adults, 1 toddler and an infant. We booked a king room with a pull out sofa. When we got to the hotel to check in, the lady at the front desk was the RUDEST and most DISRESPECTFUL person I have ever met in my life. First she said we couldn’t have the room we had already paid for, because it didn’t “accommodate 4 people” when clearly it had already been booked and approved for 4 people. 2 of those 4 were little children. Once we got to the room, I went to set up the pull out sofa for my child. There was NO blanket, and only one sheet that was hanging halfway off the mattress and was covered in food, stains, hair and crumbs. Didn’t Look like it had been cleaned or changed, it was just folded up halfway on the bed. I went down to front desk and I politely asked for new linens and a blanket. This reception lady, (I don’t know her name but she was a shorter Indian woman) she once again was rude and at first told me no I couldn’t have any new linens, that she was positive there was a blanket and clean sheets in that room. I started to get annoyed, and I said there was absolutely no blanket for The pull out sofa and the sheet that’s hanging on to it is covered in food and stains. Why would I be down here this late arguing over sheets and a blanket if I didn’t truly Need them? So She goes back to The office behind the counter and is gone for 3-5 minutes. She comes Back and instead of handing me The linens and apologizing for The dirty bed conditions, she tries to call Someone 2 times on the phone. we stand there awkwardly and she still Holds the linens behind the counter trying to call Someone. Nobody responds to her. She goes to hand me the linens and says “you better bring this blanket back, I know there are clean linens”.

The lady at the reception was probably one of the rudest persons I had misfortune to met

Spacious room and housekeeping super nice.

Strong odor when you walk into lobby and room. Front desk receptionist wasn’t welcoming. Room was clean for the most part. It’s a bit outdated and bathtub had stains.

The location was great for our purposes, very close to the fairgrounds, easy to access and ample parking. The beds were clean and comfortable. Restaurant on site ( we didn’t eat there but heard many good reviews from locals we met)

There was a very strong odor or cleaning products in the lobby. Everything looked clean and nice but the smell was very overpowering. The room door didn’t close unless pushed. The bathtub in our room wasn’t very clean, a few hairs left from previous guests.Breakfast was basic with enough options but very little food left half an hour before it ended. Staff didn’t seem pleased to have to replenish it when several guests asked, said breakfast hours were almost over( she did eventually bring out a little more.)

Breakfast was OK, but started running out of food before it was over.

Nice location for the venue at the fairgrounds, but otherwise the property was pretty isolated.

Clean and location to fairgrounds.
