It brought back memories of when I was there 4 years ago
It has gone downhill since my last visit and the prices have doubled. The food before was lots more wild game now replaced with pork chops.
Great big pile with lots of options near the gate toward Sossusvlei. Comfortable bungalow and fantastic buffet dinner.
The price was pretty high.
Beautiful bungalows and gardens. Excellent dinner buffet and setting. Rooms were well decorated and with great amenities.
The location, just outside the National Park gates, was very convenient for entering the park and then not too far to return to rest. The rooms were large though not very special compared to some other places we stayed at. We were appointed rooms away from the main area as requested and this was great as we had uninterrupted views. However when the sandstorm blew on the last night, sand came in! The shower was great.
The dining experience was a hectic affair. The other guests being the main problem. Most of them were overbearing and rude: no fault of the hotel. My tip is to get the main course of meat first then the starters later. It would mean less queuing for the BBQ meats.
An absolutely stunning location. Comfortable rooms with good showers and great views. Delicious breakfasts and buffet dinner. Lovely swimming pool. Gemsbok and guinea fowl as well as many other birds in the gardens between the chalets. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location for visiting the dunes.
Our room was drenched with sickly "air freshener" when we arrived.
We were warmly welcomed and all available services offered at the resort weas clearly explained. We were directed to the adventure centre to consider their available excursions where they generously assisted with our self drive option . Everyone working at this resort greeted us with a smile with every interaction.
