The historic center of Mexico City is the central city neighborhood. The area is focused on the Zócalo (or main plaza) and extends in all directions for several blocks. The Zocalo is the largest plaza in Latin America and can hold up to nearly 100,000 people. We saw that firsthand as we arrived at our hotel the historical Gran Hotel that sits on the Zocalo plaza. So come with us as we show you the historical center, the Gran Hotel, visit some Aztec ruins, eat some great food, visit some famous graves and explore historical cathedrals and walk the streets that are built on top of the ruined Aztec capitol.
