Very friendly and helpful staff
Very nice room
We booked a room with a harbour view and are very glad we did as it was splendid. The view is between two very tall buildings across to Burrard Inlet and the float plane harbour. For a hotel as expensive as this, the restaurant and bar charges weren't bad at all (and they had nice beer). The location is max 10min walk to Waterfront station for Skytrain, trains and buses run close by. The float plane harbour is a very short walk away and has great trips. Some eating places are found around the float plane harbour, and we came across a Turkish cafe that does great coffee and breakfast.
The lighting in the room wasn't very bright and the decorative condition was rather tired. Staff on reception were quite terse (but porters and bar staff were very jolly). In common with everywhere else we stayed, there was no kettle in the room, only a coffee maker (with pods, provided) so no good for tea drinkers as the water is tainted by the time it gets to the cup.
Excellent location for a cruise vacation. The Juliette balcony was great for extending the room space.
Room decor was a bit dated.
Excellent location , good gym and pool
Location was good. Housekeeping of our bedroom was excellent. The breakfast staff were hospitable and friendly, so too was the barman, James.
Our greeting at reception was very abrupt and unfriendly. Considering we were due to spend 5 nights and a great deal of money on the accommodation, a warm friendly welcome would have been appreciated. Instead, a curt 'Passport and credit card' was all she said when I said 'good afternoon, we have a reservation'! Very poor and unfortunately memorable. Also, the car park underneath was a nightmare - my son could not find his car in the complicated labyrinth and when he eventually did find it - he had to pay extra!
