Offering you great views of Arenal Volcano Montana de Fuego Resort & Spa features beautiful accommodations set among attractive tropical gardens and a regenerative rain forest. This property has an indoor jacuzzi outdoor swimming pool a kids pool three thermal-mineral Pools and an adventure park and hiking trails. Free Wi-Fi is available at the Lobby and Restaurant. Because of the room we wouldnt stay again

The on-site hot springs are beautiful. The included 30 min spa treatments (one per stay pp) were a nice touch. The activity (one per stay pp) was brilliant. The bird life around the property and the trail walk is beautiful. Lunch was good for veggies and view from the restaurant to the volcano is amazing. Pool bar man is a diamond!

Not the warm welcome expected on arrival. Also placed in a dorm-like family room that smelt damp. Air con didnt work properly. Pillows (even after getting them replaced) smell used by 1000s of people (and other things) which wasnt nice. Used our clothes as pillows and slept badly. Breakfast was a bit lacking for veggies. Just to warn you there is no Wi-Fi in your rooms - you have to move to the Wi-Fi zone or communal areas to access it (unless you have a phone plan in Costa Rica). This was annoying if you wanted to stream music/ watch a film in the evening or whatever.

A horrible experience and I left after one hour.

Be aware that this hotel is NOT All Inclusive. They state that the $222/ night charge includes all drinks, food and spa but in reality you get nothing but a room that is dated and in disrepair. The pool is uncomfortable and the hot springs are dirty and cold. Keep looking, do not stay here.

Favorite place to stay in Costa Rica

I got the all inclusive package and I was surprised that it came with massages and other activities as well as food and drinks it was a very good price for how much stuff came with it! The property is beautiful and had a great view of the volcano!
