FuroreI had a lovely time at Villamena. Its a place run by a very friendly Familiy and I felt very welcome at their places. Every morning they serve an individual breakfast and offer you their homemade croissants and muffins. Amazing! Loved it!!
Nice place and host.
It's hard to get to. Very high up on the mountain. Need a car or a bike. Be aware if you try to walk, you have to climb 3000 very steep steps. The public bus comes very few times and usually is full on the way to Amalfi, doesn't stop when it is full, and doesn't follow sqedule. Leaves like 20-30 minutes before it,s time when goes to the city where this hotel is. Still have to walk 20-30 minutes after.
The villa is very beautiful and clean with the most magical view. We felt very welcomed and Evelina and her family were so patient to help us with every question we had. We did not have a car and they helped us in the first day to get there (so we did not climb all tha stairs). It is a little bit harder without a car, but not impossible. Once you get the hang of how transportation works, it is fine. We visited Ravello, Positano, Amalfi and Atrani in 3 days. First you have to get to Amalfi with a minibus from the front of Villamena and then, you can visit all of the coast (by ferry is the best).
Everything was perfect.
Very nice location, with stairs down the sea. It takes 20 minutes down the stairs to the sea, but definately worth it. You get to the best beach on the Amalfi coast.
We rented a scooter, so we could get around easier.
The staff are amazing
The views and relaxation
Pleasant place and people, beautiful view all around, good food, really enjoyed the stay! Highly recommend!!
Everything. The room, the view, the food Specially Evelina, the host. She came to pick me up when I came and sent me off at the bus station. She packed me breakfast when I go out early. Shes the best! The dinner is superb. I miss it already. The room is always clean, room service everyday! I like the room design too, i feel like i want to renovate my room the same. And the view for the price is unmatched. My tips for your stay here is dont miss breakfast and the shuttle bus!
I think the location was great, its the transport that needs to improve. I mean its not the b&bs fault. For me the location was perfect for a great view and a much quieter place than downtown amalfi. The shuttle could have been great if there was atleast every hour.
