VernonThe various saunas are wonderful, as always (this was our fifth visit). Infinity pool is also striking, with the scenic vistas. (But, not enough sun loungers for guests.) Wild animals (deer, marmots, eagles and hawks) directly in and around the property.
The rooms we were located in were smaller than those we have stayed in on previous visits. This wasn’t a huge deal, as they were still a fairly generous size. However, our room was somewhat “worn”: the tub faucet was loose, the entry door deadbolt would not latch, and the large sliding glass door was extremely finicky and would sometimes work/sometimes not. Room service was disappointing—on our first night I called to have a bucket of ice delivered. It didn’t arrive until an hour and a half later, at which time we had no need for it anymore. The second night I went to the front desk and had someone get one for me in person. Our first night we had reservations at Peak Fine restaurant. Service was passable, but some ordered drinks never arrived, and were still on the bill. It was brought to the server’s attention, she “rectified” the bill (it was still incorrect the second time) and we had to again let her know that it was still incorrect. The rooms are also quite warm—uncomfortably so at night, when trying to sleep. Our last stay was last August, and I attributed the stuffy warm room to the weather, but it appears this is a chronic problem with the building. Our room wasn’t made up until almost mid afternoon, and appeared to be hastily tidied, with the beds still partially untucked, hardly better than how we left them. Champagne flutes from the previous night were left dirty on our room table. (We took it upon ourselves to wash them and reuse them for our second night, to ensure we wouldn’t run into any more hiccups.) My wife noted that every public washroom she used had stopped up/ backed up toilets. There had been a marked decline in the level of service since we first visited your facility—especially this visit, which is unfortunate, since we were travelling with my sister and her husband from Europe.
Great location, quiet, clean, love the pool.
The fried potato cubes served with breakfast were from the previous day, warmed up. Pan-fried potato wedges would have been right. Gerni’s: we had diarrhea after eating there, both last and this visit. Not cool!! They used a hotel guest’s car to drive me down to Gerni’s. That is wrong!
Location very clean
for the price of the room there is not even free coffee, they checked me in for breakfast at 11am, and the restaurant closes at 11:15, which meant that I did not have time to have breakfast because it was already late. The staff did not tell me that check-in at 11am would be late.
The view from the 3rd floor was incredible especially overlooking the lake. It was stunning during the day and even cooler to see everything changes at night with all the beautiful lights. The room blew my wife and myself away and the saunas and pools were great. This was our first trip and are looking forward to booking a weekend getaway later this year!
The only thing we didn't like was the bath wouldn't fill with warm water. We could only get it to Luke warm. Other then that everything was incredible.
Resturant food was not as high quality . Did not match the price and excellence of the resort.
