When Clarion Hotel Helsinki was built, owner Petter Stordalen wanted a swimming pool on the roof. He knew that the swimming pool, in particular, would become a social magnet. The open-air swimming pool on the roof is partly at the mercy of the weather, although the glass walls keep the most extreme weather at bay. I remember years ago when I was swimming in the pool in a light snowfall in early spring. It was pretty special. The hotel room should be booked as high up as possible for the view. I had a room on the 7th floor, from which the views over Hietalahti to the center were amazing. Maritimeness is very present in the form of dock cranes and ships anchored on the shore. It is worth noting that the equipment of the rooms in the lower price category does not include a bathrobe, which may seem strange in a "spa hotel". It is also worth noting that the rooms in the cheapest price category can have a view of the elevator platforms.
I had an amazing 2 night stay at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk during my first-ever trip to San Antonio. Pros - Convenient location. As you can tell by it's name, it's RIGHT on the Riverwalk. It does not get any more central than this. An elevator ride down and you're there. - While parking is a hefty price (anywhere in downtown San Antonio is), we managed to find street parking only a couple blocks away. - Modern, spacious rooms with elegant bathroom - Rooftop pool overlooking the city Overall, if you are looking for a hotel that is conveniently located on the Riverwalk with at least a 4 star experience, then I highly recommend this hotel!
