Traveling the world for stories to tell my kids
I highly recommend Bali! It's an amazing destination with friendly locals who warmly welcome English speakers and Americans. You can enjoy hiking, yoga, surfing, or simply live there as a digital nomad.
This provided decent lodging. The real benefit is staying here a day before if you plan to do a multi-day cruise of the archipelago which is absolutely surreal.
I highly recommend the cruise departing from the DoubleTree! It was an absolute blast overall. Be sure to get the drink package, gather your friends, and set sail to Mexico for a couple of unforgettable days!
