The Hilton Boston Park Plaza is new to the Hilton brand (March 2024). The hotel is located in the Back Bay section of Boston, a lively part of Boston with many historic places and amazing restaurants. It is also only a few blocks away from the Back Bay train station and a short ride to Bradley International Airport. The hotel had an extensive renovation just a few years ago that improved all public areas and guest rooms. This hotel was designed by the same architect that designed the Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan. The lobby centers around a nice bar/lounge area and atrium. The frond desk staff is very helpful and friendly. I love this hotel because it is one of the few places that has too many elevators, which is a good thing. There is always one waiting on the lobby level to whisk you to your room floor, though you will need your room key to access your floor which is a nice security feature. The rooms are small, but the furnishings are modern and new with electrical outlets conveniently located around the room and bed. The bed linens are of high-quality cotton and the pillows are perfect for sinking your head into after a long day. They will bring you more pillows (foam and/or feather on request). The bathroom in my room this time was really small, as is usually the case in all the rooms I have ever had at this hotel. There is not a lot of room for toiletries, so plan ahead maybe with a hanging shaving/toiletry bag. They got rid of single use toiletries - yay! They have shampoo, shower gel, and conditioner pumps located in the shower. I wish they also had hand soap by the sink, but they do have a lotion pump there. The air conditioning and heating are individual units so you can get the heat/cold that you want any time of the year - a big plus in an older hotel like this one. My room did not have a view, but I have had other rooms with views of the street. The upside - no view usually equals a quieter room. The hotel lists itself as a 4-star hotel and I agree that they are darn close to that rating. As such, I am going to rate them with a 5-star review. This is a solid choice hotel if visiting Boston.
