The location is great if you enjoy a peaceful place...we do The ferries onto the island are constant and there are other ferry ports around the island if you want to be adventurous and go island hopping. Recommend cycling around the island and visiting others. Breakfast varied ,one day was better than the other.
The owner is slightly over enthusiastic,laughing all the time ...you wonder why!

Very very friendly host. Nice garden with many seats and very big veranda. Its very nice also in the evening. And the food, made by the family in Vietnam style, was delicious. We used the bikes to make a big tour over the island. The host gave us a map. An unique experience. And he arranged a boat tour for en us, His sister teached us some vietnamese words. Great hospitality.

Super nice and helpful host. Beautiful garden. The whole island is just a paradise full of orchards. We can recommend the 4,5h boat tour (400k VND / person) that we booked via the homestay. We asked for a vegetarian breakfast option and it was yummy. Dinner was also very tasty with large portions. We rented bicycles for 50k VND per person. Rooms were basic but proper with kettle, hot water and AC.
Bicycles need some maintenance. One of ours broke on the way and we needed to push it back.
Lovely large homestay (guesthouse attached to family home) with very friendly family, comfortable rooms, breakfast, near the ferry (very short walk), quiet location, free bike hire and suggestions of bike routes. Stayed 2 nights and extended to 3. We cycled all around the island - loads of tiny roads, bridges and lanes to explore to see village life - exactly what we were looking for
Our family stayed at Nam Thanh Homestay and had a wonderful time. The food was wonderful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Everyone was so helpful. We had a wonderful boat trip of the area that was organized by the homestay.
