CaernarfonI liked the facilities on the site, the swimming pool and spa specially.
I was unaware of activities I could have signed the children up for in advance of our stay, so we missed out on some. I would have liked the swimming pool to be open longer hours.
Clean throughout - well done, a lovely caravan. Easy location to access. Good base for exploring. Nice and quiet. Good spa (wish we had more time in this!) All considering (see below) still value for money.
Oven did not work - dissapointing with a family meal bought for oven. Bed - Like a camp (or water) bed.. fairly uncomfortable. Lack of dishwasher towel(s). Paid for 4 nights wi-fi. (This should be as a default for free). Voucher only worked for 1 night. No signposts on site - difficult to find way around. Poor hospitality. Poor welcome on Saturday in bar. Poor hospitality. Food finished at 1745 on a Sunday (did not know this).. when we (family of 4) arrived at 1740 (what we thought would be peak time for an evening meal) we were told coldly only a few mintutes to order food. Very odd time to stop food at what we see as a normal time to order evening meal. Due to lack of staff presence to reassure that it was OK to order food, we went somewhere else. Glad we did.
The site is a little remote but is in beautiful surroundings and was a perfect base for our walk up Snowdon. The caravan was very clean, bedding was provided but towels were not. A small welcome pack with tea, coffee, sugar, and milk, plus a small tube of washing up liquid, a sponge and a cleaning cloth was provided. There is no onsite shop, but there is a Spar, a Co-Op minimarket, and a fish and chip shop about 5 minutes drive from the site. The site is beautifully kept and very quiet, even with young children around. Food at the Country club restaurant was hot and tasty - I definitely recommend the steak and ale pie - however the steaks were overseasoned and quite salty but we were hungry following our walk so they were eaten without complaint. I would recommend this site if you want a peaceful, relaxing break in beautiful surroundings.
Navigating the site was tricky, despite being given a map. No tea towel for drying dishes, no baking sheet in caravan. The Old Boat House was closed during our stay.
Park was well kept; caravan was clean and had everything we needed; staff were friendly.
We enjoyed our stay in our cabin. Took a while to find as no number was on it. It was clean except for some stains on the nets. Desk staff were lovely.
It was poorly lit of a night. Bar staff and waiting staff didn't look like they enjoyed their job. A bit out of the way from anything and path leading to it was very narrow and had to back up to let someone through!!
Location
No one at reception on arrival, restaurant closed for both days, spa facilities very limited times.
I really impress with the property specially where we stay at. It is very clean superb nice and cozy. Best mobile home Ive ever stayed.
Just had a bit difficulty with the street and easily get lost when you are not looking at the map provided at the reception because theres no signages. But everything is perfect.
