Our stay at Hôtel Maison Pigalle for a birthday weekend turned into an absolute nightmare. While the hotel itself appeared charming and the accommodation was satisfactory, our entire experience in Paris was utterly ruined, tainted by an ordeal we never could have anticipated. We had ordered a quite expensive birthday cake through the hotel, expecting a delightful celebration, but what followed was a catastrophe. Shortly after eating it, we became violently ill, rendering us completely incapacitated. Our grand plans for exploring the beauty of Paris crumbled before our eyes as we found ourselves confined to the hotel, battling sickness instead of making cherished memories. Reservations for exquisite dinners, long-anticipated activities, and special moments meticulously planned were all wiped away in an instant. The financial loss was significant, but the emotional toll was even greater. However, the real betrayal came not from the food poisoning itself, but from the sheer indifference of the hotel staff. When we reached out, desperate for assistance, they dismissed our concerns with cold detachment, offering no help, no compensation. Nothing but empty words… The lack of empathy, the refusal to take responsibility, and the blatant disregard for our well-being were beyond appalling. A hotel of this supposed caliber should hold itself to a far higher standard, yet we were met with nothing but disappointment and frustration. To make matters even worse, we were forced to spend additional money on another night’s stay, simply to recover enough strength to salvage what little remained of our trip. What was meant to be a joyous and unforgettable weekend turned into a distressing ordeal that we wouldn’t wish upon anyone. Hôtel Maison Pigalle didn’t just fail us, it robbed us of an experience we had so eagerly looked forward to. I would strongly advise against staying here unless you are prepared to gamble with your health and endure the most abysmal customer service.
Beautiful rooms
No breakfast available
Excellent location, friendly staff and room has all you need
Nothing
I liked the location of the hotel, accessible metro and buses which was really helpful
I was very shocked at the state of the room considering it was 4 stars, we had ripped and dirty sheets when checking in, moulding and stains in the bathroom, along with cracked walls and leftover croissant crumbs from the previous guests which made me feel really uncomfortable. Unfortunately we prepaid for the room so we couldn’t do much once we were there.
The hotel was in a great location close to lots of great restaurants and cafes. Lovely room with views on to the street.
Loved being on the street, but the downside was being woken up by a very loud party at around 3am. Pros and cons!
