They charged me more than what the app told me

The property isn’t well maintained. I checked in and got on the elevator and the elevator was dirty. Once the door opened to the elevator on my floor I was struck with a pungent odor and dirt tracking up the hallway floor. Then when I got to my room. There was a cup of old fruit on the dresser. The bed was unmade, wrapper on the floor. Half filled cups in the bathroom as well as feces still in the toilet. I had to leave and go to another hotel. The front desk didn’t even want to issue me a refund but was forced to by booking.com

Location and price were why we booked.

Room was not well cleaned (very obvious mess of skin flakes all over couch and ottoman) and main lamp didn't work (cord was cut). The guy at the front desk came up, looked at it, argued with us, denied that it was dirty, denied that it was skin, then eventually, grudgingly, sent someone to clean the room and replace the lamp. Very unpleasant and unnecessary interaction. Otherwise, it was just a dingy hotel, which is fine. But that front desk guy really worked hard to earn this bad review. EDIT: AND WE WERE OVERCHARGED BY $20 FOR THE STAY. I am now disputing it, but this is completely unacceptable. Crooks.
