Great location and beautifully situated! Pool was great but difficult to use with the ongoing construction.
The construction was slightly bothersome.
We loved the atmosphere and the hospitality of the staff. My daughter enjoyed the pool and the serenity of the location. We would definitely be back.
We just wish they had food for sale on the property .
Really nice space in a quiet area away 10 min walk from busy holetown. Pretty standard rooms but with living space and balcony was nice to have too.
We were told about some work being done to the property a few days before our stay. It wasnt too bad but it meant our garden view room was now a view of a building site with blue sheeting up to try and cover this. We didnt spend any time relaxing by the pool as this also looked over where the work was being done with drilling and other noises happening during the day. There was also a TV blasting from the where the work was being done one night which was very strange. I think without the works going on this would be a perfectly tranquil place to stay where you are close to the amenities of holetown but have your own place to relax in.
The location of the property was great, a stones throw away from town and the west cost, really good transport links around, and local shops! Some of the staff were really helpful, a young lady who gave us great directions to Harrisons Cave and also checked us out in a nice manner, a young man also helped us try catch a baby lizard in our room! Thank you to you both!
We usually book a few hotels whenever we travel incase one is bad and this was the bad one. When we arrived to check in, nobody was there, no contact number to notify someone, so we just waited a while, a few occasions I needed reception, nobody was there. Another occasion I needed a taxi so asked at reception, and was charged $50 for a 3min journey, at a later hotel I was charged $50 for a 25 min journey in comparison. So Id definitely agree a price upfront. Housekeeping really was all over the place, we were told to put your dirty towels on the floor and leave the sign on the door and they would be changed, we would be gone for the whole day with our sign on the door and our room wouldnt of been touched, I would take the dirty towels to reception to be changed and was told I dont know where they are so we were forced to use dirty towels. We also had a dead cockroach in our bathroom, we left it there purposely to see how long it would take to be rid by housekeeping but it was still there when we left. There were works going on at the site, I was only notified when I couldnt cancel for free, so we couldnt use the pool as it was directly infront of the works. I got fresh concrete on my new shoes alongside this. I woke up with loads of bites on my body every day, I did notify a member of staff and was given a spray and told spray your own room. I initially didnt want to complain as I thought perhaps the hotel culture in Barbados is relaxed but we went to Garden Grove Hotel after The Palms, just up the road and its been amazing! Clean, great customer service, and attention to detail that missing at the palms. I would definitely recommend paying a bit more for Garden Grove, its not worth ruining your previous time in an otherwise beautiful country. If customer service and housekeeping isnt important to you, its not all bad, location is great, big bed, but personally I think for what its worth go elsewhere!
The apartments were very well designed and very comfortable, the air con worked, the self catering facilities were very good indeed. The staff were incredibly friendly and approachable. I would stay here again!
The daytime building works prevented relaxing by the pool during the daytime. We only discovered about the building works once we'd paid for the rooms, and the payment was non-refundable. However, we were not in the block where the building works were being carried out.
breakfast was not available. cleanliness of the room.
a shower cap nor rag were not available .
Refurbed rooms nicely done and super clean
Building works going on near pool so unsightly
