Grande Vue Hotel

The hotel is housed within a beautiful old and stunningly maintained house in the best part of Hobart with a view down the Derwent River. Our room was beautiful and large with a terrific view. Breakfast is provided on a self serve basis which just makes it very relaxed. Ash, the manager, was very easy to deal with and a great host. Thoroughly recommend it as a better alternative to a 5 star hotel.

The view and quiet location were wonderful; the rooms were very clean and the bed so comfortable. The facilities and complimentary fresh baked cakes and biscuits added to our delightful stay.

Everything was outstanding but on our last day we had cold showers. There was apparently a fault which was in the process of being rectified that same morning. Aside from this issue, all else was excellent.

The history of the building, location, and a lovely boutique style accomodation. The rooms, dining area, gardens, lounge areas all immaculate and the interior design and furniture all done so tastefully.

All perfect.

This is our favourite accommodation in the whole world! A week here a year is food for the soul!

Variety & freshness

We loved everything about Grande Vue! Brock was a fabulous host, he baked deliciously fresh cakes daily (even in the midst of attending a hens day) we had full use of the kitchen, house and gardens! The house and furnishings are adorable! I cannot recommend Grand Vue enough, I wished we lived in Tasmania so that we could stay more often and also catch up with Brock!

Beautiful views, very comfortable room and the kitchen with a myriad of breakfast items to choose from plus home cooked biscuits and cakes everyday. Ricardo who manages the property is a lovely young man who was always very helpful.

Liked everything

It had everything we required for a lovely stay to explore Hobart. Excellent suggestions, we loved the atmosphere and the afternoon tea and freshly baked goods! We'll be back!
