GargnanoEverything was amazing .. Little hidden gem. Will be booking again for sure.
Friendly staff, wonderful spa area, nice designed courtyard, super clean, super service. Everything is perfect.
Design e pulizia.
Our stay was amazing! The staff, the room, the spa, the breakfast: everything was better than we couldve imagined.
The place was beautiful, clean and the facilities were fantastic. Amazing cozy quiet atmosphere and such a lovely host. Would 100% reccommend.
Not very much at all!
The more expensive room we booked was dark and gloomy anf was directly opposite a private room of a local resident. The room was small and the air conditioning was centrally controlled not to go below 21 degrees. We were told by the Dutch lady (more about her later) that we didn't need the room to be any cooler. It's all very well calling oneself luxury, but when you see cheap IKEA crockery, no cupboard space and a pole to hang your clothes on, that's stretching the description of being luxury spa accommodation too far in my opinion. We also found the Dutch lady on the reception to be arrogant, cold and not in the least bit helpful or interested in us as guests. Not once were we offered a lift to any of the restaurants, despite it being 32 degrees. When I enquired; her response was: "You'll be surprised what we can do" and then walked off. How to upset your guests in easy steps. Not once did she offer to help with booking or recommending any restaurant. This accommodation is not recommended for anyone with physical or mobility issues as there are a fair few steps to climb. The breakfast was ok, but badly laid out on a small table with a toasted sandwich maker in place of a proper toaster. The location if you do not have a car is truly terrible and the accommodation is right in the middle of a very unattractive residential area. It shouldn't be the case, but the Dutch lady made us feel isolated and certainly wasn't willing to help us much at all. Quite honestly, we were glad to be leaving the place and not needing to see the Dutch lady ever again. Our room cleaner however, was very helpful and friendly. So it might be worth the management swapping roles with the Dutch lady and get her to clean the toilets instead. We would NOT recommend this Alma Corte Spa accommodation.
Clean are very clean and the hotel is very new. They dont skip the details as providing cosmetics, slippers for the beach and extra slippers for the spa and room. Capsule coffee and water daily refreshed. Breakfast is above expectations compared to other boutique hotels in Italy, dont expect a continental breakfast but at least they have salty options( scrambled eggs etc) and home made bakery products and wide selection of yogurt and cereals which is not so common in Italy :)
Our room was supposed to have a garden view instead it was facing the street. You can only see the corner of the lake from the window which was very annoying. Also during booking I wasnt able to identify which room has views or not. Location was not practical at all. Its not on the lake side so you need to either walk or drive up in the town and streets are very narrow. Parking is free but at a 5-10 min walking distance from the hotel again making it not practical especially when you arrive late in the night. During the day they do drop off with a caddy. Gargnano is a cute town but not the best town to stay and go around at Lake garda considering commute to other attractions such as Sirmione ( south side) or Riva del Garda ( north side) even Limone Sul Garda is a 45 min drive and consider the heavy traffic at summer month.
Very simpatic nice little spa. The staff was always friendly and helpful the whole place is very clean and nice. They also recommended a very good restaurant and helped us to make a reservation there. A nice place to relax, you can use the jacuzzi or sauna too. I liked that it was not so crowded. It has a nice atmosphere, good smell everywhere. Also a good variety of breakfast. The beds are comfortable and we had everything in the room what we needed. The parking lot has a gate and you can only enter with a code so you can leave your car there without any worries. They also took us to the parking lot with their golf cart every time we asked for.
- Little bit difficult to approach with car - We thought it would be a little bit more mountain view But obviously these are not big problems though
