The Gym/ games room spa and pool were amazing and so clean. The hotel in general was really well maintained and everything looked brand new. The Bed was extremely comfortable and larger than a standard Uk double. The Breakfast had a lot of variety and was very nice in a relaxing atmosphere. The staff where very friendly. The location was really good and within walking distance of the lake.
The room view was terrible of a roof rather than than as advertised. We did not complain on the visit as the hotel was fully booked and we could see that the chances of get another room with a balcony was slim. The room with a garden view was more like a carpark and a roof. Initially, we thought we had been moved to a larger room as it was two separate bedrooms but then realised after a few days that this was standard. Having said this, I am not sure whether this is the description that the hotel provided or Booking.com.
The hotel is located on a hill overlooking Biggesee, the views can't be better. It's isolated so tranquility is guaranteed. Breakfast was varied and abundant, some outdoor seating is also available to enjoy the morning sun. The pool area is great to spend the time reading while sunbathing. They organize events that include barbecue, sadly we didn't know in advance and it was fully booked during our stay.
The room had a light humidity smell, we think it could have been caused by the high temperatures and rains of the previous days.
The location, the staff, dog friendly hotel, for us : perfect
Overall, our stay was pleasant. Although we were travelling for business purpose, it is also a nice location for leisure. The Hotel is near Bigge lake, surrounded by greenery, a good location for water sports, hiking, running, etc. Rooms were clean, personnel ok, breakfast standard.
I felt the price was a bit overvalued. Temperature inside the room was rather chilly on the first night, there is no minibar and no slippers.
Our room was spacious and clean. The food was good. Staff were very friendly.
The outdoor swimming pool was not heated as advertised on Booking.com. It was very cold and we couldn't use it at all. Our room was also not heated well. Food at the restaurant was finishing quickly.
Comfortable rooms, good breakfast, walking distance to village, train station, lake, starting point for boat trips on the lake.
Tips to improve the satisfaction: more choice for dinner, for example fish. The room was quite warm (but heating was off - curious what the source of the heat was), with an open window this was good to manage. Hotel has three charging stations for electric cars: two for Tesla, one for non-Tesla, the latter one however did not work, something like: not all cars are accepted?? Luckily on the other end of the village were two charging stations (20 minutes of walking)
The location
The receptionist on arrival was terrible.
