InterCityHotel Hannover

It was super clean, quiet and comfortable.

Room was very clean, nice bathroom with good shower, bed was comfortable. 2 minutes walk to Hannover Hbf.

The room was so hot it was very difficult to sleep. The hotel claims to have air conditioning but it doesn't work. I asked at reception twice, initially when I arrived and was told it would take about 25 minutes to cool the room down (I'd already been there for 20), then I just left it on and went out, came back at 23:00 and the room was just as hot despite it being on full for 3 1/2 hours. Asked again and was told all the rooms are just as hot as the air conditioning doesn't work when it's hot! Only option was to open the windows very slightly, you couldn't open them more than about 5 cm at the top and the hotel receptionist that came up wouldn't unlock the windows properly so I could open them fully. The fixed curtain position pretty much stopped any slight breeze coming in and the open windows (front of the hotel on 2nd floor) only served to let in the smell of cigarette smoke from the smoking area immediately below. Shame as the room and bathroom were really nice and the location was perfect just 2 minutes walk from Hannover Hbf, but due to getting very little sleep due to the heat I certainly wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend unless it's winter.
