My partner and I just visited here for a single night on a trip through multiple cities across Japan. We wish we could have stayed at this location longer! The location is stunning, with a wonderful lounge on the top floor. There is also a bus that runs straight up to the hotel -- we took it from near the Peace Memorial back to the hotel with no issue, which was very convenient. The room itself was extremely clean and comfortable.

Its an impressive looking hotel and has a convivence store inside. They offer rooms with a view over looking the bay, but rooms looking at the city are also nice. There are multiple choices for food on site and there is a boat service from the back of the hotel. We had issues with our first room and the staff sorted this out for us which was much appreciated. This was done in a professional manner and staff at checkout were very good and went out of her way to apologise for the inconvenience, I left the hotel with a better impression of the hotel thanks to her.

The first room we were put in had a strong damp/musky odour which was really unpleasant, however this was sorted by the hotel. The hotel itself seems very dated and aged and in need of a refurbishment, rooms had damaged and stains on the wall. Everything in the room seemed to be working, but i couldn't tell if the A/C was working as it was very weak. There dose seem to be a lack of air circulation in the hotel rooms which may be the cause of the odour issues I experienced. The restaurants and bars closed early and the prices seemed steep. The hotel is out of the way and may be a challenge with public transport. Compared to other hotels I've experience on the same holiday this one was below average.

Rooms were amazing, service was great, and overall the atmosphere was exactly what we needed. Loved having the boat right at the hotel and had a blast over on Miyajima!

I wish there had been a bigger bar with a little bit more to drink (beer/wine, etc), and I wish that they had clarified that the buffet was closing in 30 minutes. The sudden rush to get more food because it was closing was un-intended/not my plan. But it worked out, and the food was great!
