Hotel Alixares

Great hotel. Nice location though quite a distance from the centre of town. It is a nice walk if you are fit, though I would recommend a taxi for the rest of us . Food is great as are the staff. Great outdoor pool. Secure parking for our motorbikes!

Not much to complain about. Staff seemed a little stretched. Maybe because it is the beginning of the season.

Good value for money. Good sized bedroom. Very attentive staff. We stayed at this hotel because we wanted to visit the Alhambra Palace which is 200M away. I didn't know at the time of booking, but our tour of the palace started from the hotel. Good sized swimming pool.

The underground car park was the 'tightest' I have ever experienced. Not easy when you're driving a strange hire-car. There was only a poor buffet restaurant, and although freshly cooked food was available in the bar the menu was restrictive.

Absolutely professional hotel of a very high standard. The professionalism and helpfulness of the staff was incredible. A very pleasant surprise. The main advantage of the hotel is of course the location 200 m from the entrance to the Alhambra. From there there are also cheap buses (1.60 EUR) every few minutes, so visiting the historic center of Granada is also very easy. We had a Junior Apartment and the standard of the room and the views from the terrace directly to the Alhambra were amazing. I definitely recommend renting this room. As a motorcycle traveler, we were very pleased to be offered parking for our motorcycle in a closed underground garage (12 EUR/night). They have a very limited number of parking spaces - you have to ask in advance. Breakfast and also dinner are buffet style and were very good.

No parking available at hotel. Had to use public parking.

The locality and proximity to the Alhambra was incredibly convenient. Good access to public transport.

There was times during the day when bothe the cafe and the restaurant were both closed. You would expect to be able to buy a drink especially when it is so hot outside.

The staff were nice and helped us with calling taxis.

There were a lot of bugs in our room even though we didn't open the windows and the amount of bugs increased by the day.
