Hotel Martino Spa and Resort

We stayed just for one night after arriving in San Jose late. The staff made everything easy and were very friendly. The room was big and comfortable. The restaurant was very good, particularly the breakfast. Lovely grounds which were good for bird watching in the morning. Close to Rescate rescue centre which is worth visiting if you have time.

Shower was only warm.

The room was spacious. The restaurant was nice and breakfast was good. Facilities were very good and we enjoyed using the pool table, table tennis and table football. The pool was excellent. Staff were very helpful.

Wifi was a bit dodgy.

Really quiet when we visited, food was grand, team were lovely, rooms big and airy, gardens well looked after.

Bit shabby in places but nothing too significant.

The pool was filthy, my grandchildren could not stay in the pool very long. There were cockroaches everywhere in the room. The food was cold and the food eaten on Saturday night made everyone sick. The staff were rude and not helpful. I have previously stayed at this property 8 times including my 60th birthday celebration, which I had 55 people attending; this used to be a fabulous hotel and property. It has gone downhill so much it saddens me, I will never stay there again. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

The owner should have kept the standard of care, food and staff instead of letting become the hotel of horrors.
