The cleanliness of the rooms, the staff, and the location. It was beyond my expectation for the star rating. Regardless of the type of room you have, the level of cleanliness and staff courtesy is the same.

The breakfast thats included was not that great.

I like that u could choose a pillow! They have a pillow catalogue which was awesome. I chosed the one that's good for cervical,and they misted it with rose scent! Also they actually saw that it was my birthday and gave me a delicious cake! Thank you staff of Akyra Manor, you were so kind! The pool is also amazingly pretty and I am sure attracts many instafluencers!

Maybe it would be better to have some hooks for towels to hang.

Firstly, the positive experience with our stay at this hotel - the front desk staff are first class, very helpful in recommending sightseeing destinations, food, etc and always cheerful. So too was the security staff who was always on hand to make sure we could park our car in front of the hotel each day on our return.

Unfortunately, all other aspects of this hotel was disappointing. The room electrical system was such that turning off the master lighting switch in the bedroom when we go to bed each night also turned off power supply to the sockets so that our devices could not be charged. There were no bedside tables available on either sides of the bed (this despite us having suites). The TV remote control didn't work as it should, requiring multiple attempts each time we needed to change a channel or adjust the volume. The water pressure in the bathroom was very poor, and coupled with a shower hose that was very stiff, made showering a chore. Lighting in the entire room was so bad that we had to use our mobile phone spotlight when doing make up. The hair dryer could only be used in the dressing area and not in the bathroom as power sockets were not available in the bathroom, and the dryer power cord was so short that the plug would come off the socket multiple times during the use of the hair dryer. Very frustrating! Room cleaning was atrocious. Used items left in the room were not disposed of during the entire stay (5 days), used hand towels in the bathroom were not replaced on day one, and so we decided to leave them on the floor so that the cleaning staff would know that we needed a change of the towels. Instead, they took away the towels but didn't replace them for the rest of our stay. The one and only restaurant in the hotel was too small to accommodate all their guests, and so we could not get a table for breakfast on one of the days during our stay.
