Tregony Guest House

Location was great, overlooking Porthmeor beach and just a 5mins walk to the town centre. The hosts were great, so helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was amazing, it was warm and delicious. They made efforts to prepare it and serve with smiles on face.

There is nothing that we didn't like. Everything was perfect right from the cleanliness of the room. The ambience, the top-up of the biscuits and the coffee after we had consumed it.

We liked everything about Tregony, the room was spacious, tastefully furnished, super clean and had the most beautiful view. Top that with the friendliness of the hosts and an amazing breakfast, we highly recommend the place.

We stayed in Room 3 for a couple of weeks on our first visit to Cornwall and it was exceptional! The Tregony was very clean, high quality comfortable beds, 2 large chairs to sit and watch the sea view and sunsets, many excellent breakfast choices (vegan/vegetarian choices) all well prepared each day. The hosts were very helpful and charming, providing us with restaurant ideas in other communities, and daily beaches and coastal walks to try. We were sorry to leave and will return to Tregony House as one of the best stays of our lives. Thank you Charlotte and Gavin!

There was mention of a steeper hill to the guest house if walking. It is about 7- 8 minutes) to the Tregony from the center of St. Ives, which ultimately didnt bother us as we are in our early 70s and fit enough (initially concerned about an ankle issue). We found that we got to enjoy it at the end of the day after a lovely dinner. We could also take a cab. Not a problem at all.

We had a nice big room no sea view but lots of light. Well managed by Charlotte and Gavin. Very friendly. Excellent breakfasts.

Really lovely couple, made us feel very welcome, and made sure our stay was comfortable. The breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choices and made fresh to order, our son even got to have toy soldiers (strips of toast to dip into an egg). Location was great, with a paid car park a little further along the road for us to leave our car, and only a short walk down slightly sloped roads and some steps to get to the beach and the centre of the town.

Charlotte and Gavin were very helpful and always on hand to make our stay as good as possible. The breakfast each morning was fantastic and our room was clean and tidy throughout. Its a perfect location just a short walk from the beach and was an ideal setting for our week away. A previous review mentioned a tip that downloading the JustPark app and paying for our parking at Barnoon Car Park through this platform would be cheaper than using the machines and this was really useful. The weekly rate is not advertised on the signs and this saved us around 30 pounds!
