The hotel itself is beautiful, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable.
The valet took my car before I had unpacked my stuff. I asked for my car to be brought back and they refused, but drove me to the lot instead to grab my luggage. I then had to WALK back from the lot to the hotel in the rain with my luggage. The other staff apologized for the valet, but I still paid almost $70 for parking. I wasn’t even offered a discount or voucher. They also only had one robe in the room and only 2 hangers. There’s no drawers for clothes in the room, so I would expect more than 2 hangers so I could at least hang my clothes. Finally, I paid for a city view but was placed on a very low floor so we were just looking at the street and the bottom of another building…not exactly a “city” view. The hotel was not full so no reason not to offer a higher floor. When I checked in, the front desk didn’t tell me about their bar or restaurant or any amenities I could make use of. They said nothing about wifi or check-out times. It was just really poor customer service for a hotel claiming to be “4-star”.
Beautiful and clean
Convenient to downtown
Good location and value. Walking distance to restaurants and close to the Zoo. The employees in the coffee shop were fantastic both times we went in, which was Sunday evening and Monday morning.
I do not recommend this hotel for small children that don't quite have the capacity to listen to their parents yet, as the bathroom is a series of barn doors. This hotel is fine for kids who can understand and listen to their parents. The bed was horribly uncomfortable. It was very firm. They do NOT have parking. They offer a valet service to a nearby parking garage. We didn't use the valet service. We parked on our own at the parking garage, which was $23 for one overnight, Sunday afternoon to Monday morning.
The service in the restaurant, up in the rooftop and the front desk, was fantastic! Really nice people. And the breakfast we ordered was great!
The room that we stayed at was partially clean. There was hair hanging from the main light when you entered the room. It looked like it was clean in a hurry.
