Pure Monchique Hotel - Villa Termal Spa Resort - by Unlock Hotels

The fantastic location offers breathtaking views, and the room is spacious and comfortable. The thoughtful addition of ample water in the room was a much-appreciated touch.

The spa was not operational, and the furniture on the balcony was of very poor quality, not matching the standard of the room. Additionally, most of the facilities, except for the Pure Monchique Hotel building, are in need of maintenance and cleaning. There is also a security concern, as strangers have been observed accessing the pool area by jumping over the fence.

Caldas de Monchique is an amazing location, the pool, the garden, the views and the old buildings are so beautiful, and the place is well-maintained. The breakfast is good.

We got a room with a view to a wall and noise from the road above. The airconditioning was noisy and the blanket, that was in the wardrobe, was necessary to keep us warm. I would have preferred and actual duvet and cover, and would recommend either booking a room with a balcony instead or stay in the garden hotel of Hotel Central, same place. The restaurant connected to the hotel could use an upgrade. The staff was polite and friendly, but a bit distant.

Bar shuts at 6pm, no where to get any refreshments and as the hotel is in the middle of no where, this isnt great. Not even any tea or coffee facilities in the room. Other Unlock hotels have!

Location, decent predictable breakfast. Fresh and modern interior.

The reception team during a check-in was rude, unhelpful. Made us wait OUTSIDE the hotel for 20 before the check in time. The Lady did not even try to give some information about the resort during that 20 minutes. I was extremely shocked by that attitude. The cleaning team helped us find the room! The receptionist was too busy laughing and talking to her colleague. The first time ever Ive encountered such a level of rudeness and unprofessionalism from front of the office staff.
