Hotel La Scaletta

"I bet you didn't think staying in a 14th-century palazzo would be glamorous but oh, it is. This boutique hotel still has many of its original architectural features and has one of the best rooftop bars in town with epic views of the Duomo and the city. It is just a block down from the Ponte Vecchio and about a 10-minute walk to the Duomo. You could not ask for a better location, hospitality or place to stay while in Florence. The beds were so comfortable, the shower was incredible and despite being over 700 years old, has a ton of modern amenities including unusually large TVs in the hotel rooms. You walk right outside and there are a ton of eateries and bars, steps away from the only wine window still operating in Florence and they even have an on-site restaurant.
