Leonardo Hotel Antwerp the Plaza

Nothing they changed my room when I arrived and when I tell you it was the worst room of my life. I’m not kidding

Everything was below satisfactory

Bed was big and comfortable, room is large. Location good very close to the tram .

We arrived a bit early asked the staff if we can check in she said it depends on the room availability let me check , after she checked she asked for 25 euros if we would like to check in a bit early . I have been in a different hotels in Belgium and other countries in similar situations they always let us in and for free. One of the staff charged us extra money (tax) for the baby which we are exempted from paying tax for a child but they returned the money after checking out . The photos on the website a bit misleading the hotel a bit old and the furnitures as well . The shower handle was leaking water everywhere and if you use it the whole bathroom will be filled with water . On our first night one of the towels was dirty. After requesting room service several times i have noticed they didn't clean/sweep the floor on the room and the furniture is dusty .

The bed was very good.

Breakfast was of low quality. And the the communication was bad and partly absurd. I got 16 ! (sixteen) emails with link til online check-in, which did not work properly. Not recommended caused communication with the hotel.

Staff are friendly and the room was reasonably priced. The garage was super convenient and secure but not many spaces!

The location is a bit busy but for the price it was fine. You’re in the center within 20 minutes walking or by tram
