Traditional experience, Katatan, onsen, buffet breakfast

No AC, overpriced buffet for what you received.

We stayed in a Japanese style room with a small privat Onsen-Style bathtub. The room was spacious and clean. We didn't use our Bathtub since all the public Onsen where free to use and the vibe is just diffent. You can chose between around 8 different Onsen per Gender or rent a Privat Family Bath. Even with the size of the hotel it still felt very comfortable. You can ware the yukata provided to go to the bath/walk around or go for dinner or breakfast with it. The food with had was in general very nice and there where a lot of options to chose from. It was an all you can eat buffet breakfast and dinner (dinner costs extra). In gereral we enjoyed our stay.

Communication in Englisch was a bit difficult if we had any questions. Out room had a "Privat Onsen" which was basicly a Slightly deaper Bathtub. It does NOT fit 2 people in our opinion. Either you get a room with a Larger Tub or just take a regular room and use the public Onsen (The are great) Out room and in General our floor had a particular smell. Personally it didn't bother us that much but it is definitely there. Not sure from what it is from. The tatami? Transportation to the hotel is Limited. Since there will be luggage it is quite difficult with the bus. There is a shuttle from the Hotel to the station but that is something we didn't know before and without information you don't know on which bus to get. We took a Taxi from the station to the hotel which was for sure the most comfortable way. Also walking to the hotel can be quite dangerous since there are sometime no walkways and the roads are sometimes narrow.

In the room there is everything. Food was very various and very good. We had the onsen inside our room and it was amazing.

Futon to sleep were a bit hard and unconfirmed but maybe we are just not used to the them.

The room was big and the location is great if you want to explore Hakone and Mount Fuji. There is also lots of free parking.

The hotel decor was very dated, the room didnt have double beds (only twin), the food at the dinner and breakfast buffet was mediocre and not very hot, the shower and bath were tiny.
