Clydesdale Manor

Beautiful old manor. Help yourself to breakfast in the morning and to a glass of port in the evening. It was walking distance to town (about 20-30 mins) if you don’t mind a walk.

The driveway was hard to see and I missed the turnoff the first time. Would have been great if the heat lamps were working in the bathroom as it was a winter stay.

Large room, nicely appointed communal spaces, kitchen and dining rooms very clean, good to be able to prepare breakfast at own leisure. lovely to have access to gardens

The room was not to the standard advertised. The room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet, but it lacked a power outlet at the end of the bed for customers who needed to use one. This is a problem. There were no extra power outlets, although this may be a minor issue for some people. Some customers require the use of medical items. When we were searching for an additional electrical outlet, we noticed the carpet under th bed wasn't cleaned to an acceptable standard. This is not a disappointment with our stay; I am simply mentioning it to inform property managers that they should regularly inspect their rooms for any shortcomings.

The room's theme featured some mismatched furnishings. There could have been some herbal and assorted teas in the room, as well as a jug of water, which would be an added touch.

Excellent location just a 5-minute drive to the centre of Hobart. Easy 5-minute walk to a choice of two supermarkets and multiple eateries. Very good large, quiet and comfortable room. Excellent free Wi-Fi. Easy self-check in. Light, self-service breakfast available in common dining room. Easy access to on-site parking available.

Difficult to turn right out from driveway onto busy road when departing. Heater in bathroom unserviceable. No property identification at entrance. (Difficult to identify correct driveway when slowing in busy traffic)
