Fletcher Hotel Restaurant Amersfoort

Good restaurant for dinner. Nice breakfast selection. Good sized room. Nice bathroom and good water pressure/shower. Handy to bus stop. Nice, quiet, rural location.

Some of the ground floor rooms are very close to the bar which is quite noisy until 11pm. Having just spent over 40 hours travelling, the last thing I needed was to be right next to the bar. Staff unable/unwilling to move me. Did, however, book again and on my second stay was given a quieter room.

Good breakfast. Decent sized room. Handy to bus stop. Nice, rural like surroundings.

The staff allowed us to change rooms to a quieter location not on the road.

The fact that baby bed has an extra cost.No baby sheets included.No fridge included. Marginal cleaning of the room.

Amersfoort is a very picturesque old town

There were just one or two failings - the room safe didn't work on arrival and couldn't be fixed until the next day, the restaurant employee didn't know what was served with steaks, meaning that the chips didn't arrive until the meal had literally been finished. The gardens were overgrown with weeds in several places. Nothing drastically wrong, just a big niggly

Good value hotel in a rural location backing on to woodland. Plenty of parking available. Onsite restaurant.
