No activities - canoes weren't on the water.
The lodge and hot tub outside with a view of the mountains
Amazing location, brilliant service (we were upgraded to a very premium room) and great facilities/on site restaurants
Nothing!
The view and the somewhat extensive grounds are outstanding. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and more than adequate.
The deluxe king room had a nice view but was not otherwise special in any way so not worth (in my mind) the high US$500 daily rate. It felt that the (basically young) staff was overly reliant on banal pleasantries in their interactions and did not come across to me as experienced (ie professionally trained) enough for an establishment of this caliber. There was no parking provided anywhere near the room (valet parking instead) and it took an average of 15-20 minutes every time to have the car driven from wherever the parking lot was to near the roomthus the car could not easily be accessed. The choice of restaurants was limited. The pool was outdoors so not always inviting in October and, besides, no robes were provided in the room. An outdoor audio/video event was held on the lawn close to the room on the Friday and Saturday evenings so there was unwelcome and intrusive noise until around 10 pm.
This Hotel is so large. But it could be hard to tell the way to the front desk If you arrive at late night. King stuff in the front desk, and the valet Parking Service is awesome. The Parking lot actually is far away from the place we stay. Service Guy at phone call 55 park for us after unloding. One suggestion for the new guys, leave the parking lit things behind before check-in. The front desk will provide you the parking Service and you can be driven to your place nice and quick.
